Buyback Email today (Oct 2024 request)

Got this email just now:

There is no payment owed for your PSLF buyback.  You will receive Public Service or Temporary Public Service loan forgiveness for the loans listed above in the next 60 to 90 business days.”

Anyone get this before? Is there hope?

PSLF Buyback frustration

Oct 2024 - original buyback request
Mar2025 - repeat buyback request (thinking OG got lost)
Oct 2025 - feedback case opened
April 2026 - requested escalation
June 2026 - repeat feedback case opened
June 2026 - repeated escalation to Ombudsman

This AM - called FSA. Spoke to rep. Gave numbers. She said my OG case is “Still in Review”. When asked about feedback cases - w both numbers. “Still in review”. Asked to get in contact with Ombudsman- no number given or transfer offered.

No timeline.
No escalation option.
Both my senators and representatives say nothing they can do.

Sooo frustrated. What a scam.

Looking for PSLF Buyback advice – switched from SAVE to IBR and just made my first payment 105/120

I’m hoping someone here has been through a similar situation or has any suggestions.

I currently have 105 qualifying PSLF payments. I also have enough months during the SAVE administrative forbearance to reach well over 120 qualifying payments through the PSLF Buyback program.

Here’s my timeline:
Nov 2024: Submitted my initial PSLF Buyback request after becoming eligible.
July–November 2025: Multiple calls to Federal Student Aid. Case was escalated to supervisors with no resolution.
November 2025: Filed a CFPB complaint.
November 2025: Submitted FSA Feedback cases and continued following up.
Late 2025: Contacted my U.S. Senator’s office for congressional assistance.
2026: Continued regular follow-ups with FSA while my Buyback request remained pending.
Spring 2026: My case was escalated to the FSA Ombudsman.
June 2026: Switched from SAVE to IBR after the Department indicated borrowers should return to an active repayment plan.
July 2026: Made my first IBR payment.

At this point I’ve submitted the Buyback request, multiple FSA feedback cases, a CFPB complaint, congressional inquiries, and now an Ombudsman escalation. Despite all of that, I still haven’t received a Buyback offer or any substantive update.
Has anyone who switched from SAVE to IBR actually seen movement on their Buyback request? Is there anything else I should be doing while I wait?

I’d appreciate hearing from anyone with a similar timeline, especially if you’ve recently received a Buyback offer.
