Dim Sum in Taipei

I’m looking for great Dim Sum where I can actually find a spot. I’ve tried to book 85TD but have failed miserably.

Any other spots that would have great dim sum? Thin wrappings and slipper rice wrappings in their shrimp rice wrap as an example.

I’ve tried a number of spots and no luck. Tim Ho Wan is not it. I’ve tried multiple locations in the states and it’s been flops for me.

Visiting and want to play pickleball

I’m staying near Da’an and I’d like to play in the mornings.

The rest of my family wake up pretty late in comparison. It gives me some free time and would love to play.

Otherwise I guess I leave my paddle back here in the states.

TIA!

Estate Sale Cast Iron

I picked up a Lodge Cast Iron pan at an estate sale today. $15 for it. It was a decently high end place, where the house probably sold $3M+, with a good amount of high end materials.

The pan looked dusty but I didn’t see any huge amounts of carbon build up on it. I’ve never stripped down a pan before and I’m wondering if I truly need to. I cleaned it with my chainmail multiple times and a Scott sponge and dish soap.

I’m wondering if stripping with yellow cap truly is necessary or could I just continue cleaning it. I am concerned that after I oiled it that the color wasn’t right in my paper towel.

Thanks for the guidance in advance!

Edit: thanks folks! I’m gonna just go cook with it! It’s smaller than my Fields cast iron pan so it might become my daily!
