Meta might be the worst platform on earth

Just by going through their likes I’ve found multiple peoples LinkedIn. They’re real people liking this hate.

All we can do is sit back and get discriminated against constantly.

Monarch How do you make budgeting so confusing.

i just started using this tool because of how easy it seems. my goals don't show up in reports ? which makes no sense because I put half of my money towards them. I can't delete pre-made categories "they get hidden" so there's this fat category which I'll never use in the middle of all my categories.

FALL 2026 OMSCS: Portland, Oregon

Hello Everyone,

As Fall Term 2026 is starting to coming up, I want to connect with people in similar shoes as mine. I graduated from OSU 2026, I am currently working at Nike while doing OMSCS. I majored in Computer Science and my research has been in Machine Learning and building software tools for data annotations tools used by NOAA.

As I said above, I am trying to connect with people who are in general starting fall 2026 (Maybe make a group chat) also if there is anyone local that would be also pretty cool :D

23 year old with first salary lost in figuring out 401k/Roth 401k contributions.

Hello Bogleheads,

I am a 23-year-old, freshly out of college with no debt, no rent, no insurance, or any fixed expenses. My current salary is around 85K in the state of Oregon. I started working on June 1st. I started to budget and also follow the Bogle way of saving.

The first thing I am trying to set up is my retirement savings. I already have a contribution set to 28% (maxing out 401K, monthly), but now I am realizing I started working in the middle of the year, so I'll have to bring that contribution close to 50% to max my 401K this year. My company matches 100% of the first 5% of your salary you contribute.

  1. I want to know if it’s a good idea to Max out my 401k to 50% to hit Max limit of this year of 24k ?

  2. Also, how should I pick between a Roth 401k or a traditional 401k ?
