Front door trim colors

Front door trim colors

Stripped back the awful paint job on the front door trim of our 1920's home. Had to replace multiple panes of glass and learn how to glaze with putty etc. Finished sealing any gaps and it's almost ready for a primer.

After all this work, it almost seems a shame to repaint it all white again. We're wondering what other colors we could get away with. The siding is painted a flip-house gray, and we're not in a position to change that at the moment. Would it be bizarre to have a different trim color when the windows are still white?

Put up the sconces last night to just get an idea of how they light the space.

(The window trim is covered in old lead paint, and the windows themselves are in such bad shape we're considering having them replaced with something more modern and energy efficient, but a similar design).

UK Passport renewal on hold due to 3rd (!) middle name missing from US Passport.

Born in the UK. Dual US/UK Citizen, living in the US. Applied for UK passport renewal as we're going home for Christmas (UK Passport issued in 2014, expired in 2024).

Via deed poll, I added my wife's last name as a middle name to mine when we got married 12+ years ago, thus giving myself a total of three middle names.

Stupidly didn't realise that my UK passport had the full three middle names whereas somewhere along the line, my US Passport, citizenship certificate, driving license etc all refer to me with my original two middle names.

Understandably, the UK won't issue a new passport until it's all cleared up and the names match. Thus, they want me to get my US passport changed/amended.

I could complete the DS-5504 US form for a name change on the passport, but it would be under the not-so-grey area of *"*Data Correction: The U.S. Department of State made a printing error (e.g., misspelled name, incorrect date of birth) on your passport."

Somewhere along the line the extra third name got dropped (most likely my oversight) so I don't know if this is a legitimate avenue. If I were to proceed, the only official document that has evidence of the three middle names is my expired UK passport, currently in possession of the UK govt.

Is the easiest route to get the UK govt to post my expired UK passport back to me, and then send that on to the US govt to process the change? Or is the DS-5504 not relevant in this case? Or can I re-submit the UK passport renewal application and just ditch the extra middle name? It was purely in solidarity with my wife, but she'd recognise the practicalities vs the bureaucracy vs sentimentality.

Thanks in advance.

Wanting to make a 3-watch Rep collection. I prefer pieces that are a little less popular - but still simple, relatively legible. Thinking an Omega Seamaster 300 for the sport/dive, Rolex Milgauss blue for something more daily, what would your third piece be?

I'm not hugely into gold, Roman numerals etc, though I guess I could be persuaded. Not a massive fan of AP's design, nor Breitling's, but I know there are many models I'm probably missing.

Both of these could be dressed up or down (and could also be accused of being too similar) would love to hear some suggestions!
