Made a laptop + SSD buying guide for incoming NIT Bhopal freshers (real Amazon.in prices, all budgets)

Every year this sub gets flooded with "which laptop should I buy" threads right before semester starts, so a few of us put together a proper guide instead of re-answering the same question fifty times.

It's split by budget bracket — laptops from ₹30K up to ₹1,00,000+, plus a separate section on SSDs if you'd rather upgrade an old laptop than buy new, or just need a portable drive for backups/project files. Everything's pulled live off Amazon.in, not stale prices from two years ago.

🔗 Guide Link

Quick taste of what's in it:

- ₹30–40K: entry Ryzen 3 / i3 laptops from ~₹37K — fine for coding, Office, browsing

- ₹40–60K: the sweet spot most CS/core-branch students land in

- ₹75K+: RTX 3050 gaming laptops if you want to game too

- SSDs: ₹2,299 gets you an internal upgrade for an old HDD laptop; Samsung T7 / SanDisk Extreme portable drives if you're in a branch that shoots/edits video

Happy to help with picks for your specific branch/budget in the comments.

I got tired of booking "luxury" hotels only to find a basic shower, so I built a directory of hotels in India with private in-room bathtubs/jacuzzis 🛁

Hey everyone,

Whenever I tried planning a romantic anniversary or a weekend getaway, I’d spend hours digging through MakeMyTrip or Agoda just trying to find a hotel room that actually had a private bathtub or jacuzzi in the room. Half the time, the photos are misleading, or you book a "luxury suite" and end up with a standard glass shower.

It was super frustrating, so I decided to solve the problem myself.

I built HotelsWithBathtubs.com—a free, curated directory that only lists hotels and resorts across India (60+ cities right now including Goa, Mumbai, Udaipur, Lonavala, etc.) that guarantee a private soaking tub or jacuzzi in your suite.

It’s completely free to use (no sign-ups). I just wanted to make it easier for couples to find a relaxing staycation without wasting hours reading the fine print on hotel amenities.

Let me know if you guys have any feedback on the design, or if you know of any hidden gem resorts I should add to the list!

Building ShoppersDeals.in 🚀 Would love your feedback

Hey everyone,

I've been working on ShoppersDeals.in in my free time. It's still a work in progress, but the goal is to make it easier to find the best shopping deals and price drops across Indian e-commerce.

If you're into AI or React Native and the project sounds interesting, feel free to reach out.

If not, no worries 😊 I'd really appreciate it if you could visit the site and leave a comment with your first impression or any feedback. It would help me a lot while building it.
