I need a reliable kill switch. I havent seen much VPNs talk much of such functions in the first place, yet they should be on by default

If anyone doesnt know, a kill switch for VPN is what keeps your network safe without spilling out the cookie trail of what you browsed. Proton, Nord, and Surfshark all got a kill switch, though which ones the most reliable? Is there anything else with a reliable killswitch?

In general, is there anything else people use on top of the kill switch to make the network chain more safe?

I can configure the windows settings, or maybe mess around with the router, though dont know PCs too well but could learn something if I have to
