CE padin?
Hi currently a 3rd year student, more than halfway done in this tiring course.
Been reading some reddit posts about questioning if it is still worth it to continue civil engineering here. the quickest and most replied answer was "no" due to oversaturation and low pay despite being in the industry for years
I absolutely came to love this course throughout my journey especially in the field of geotechnical and transportation. I know if you love the course - then continue, but im more financially oriented and want to live a comfortable life as well(having close to or have a 6digit salary)
is the civil engineering job path worth it? can you make it work with upskilling, doing many personal projects, job hopping, and even having multiple jobs at the same time
