Just throwing it out there for anyone trying to get out of the rat race. You can use your 401k money as self directed investment (you are not withdrawing, so no penalty). Live on the property without mortgage, no employees, just run it yourself and enjoy early retirement.

Edit: Just look up how small motels get bought and run by immigrant families. They build wealth tapping into rural motels that nobody touches. It's an opportunity for sure - not for everyone - but it is doable.
