Trying to understand what people actually worry about when sharing files

Have you ever worried that a photo, PDF, Word document, or video might contain private hidden metadata before you share it?

I’m trying to understand real-world file privacy concerns. For example: location data in photos, author names in documents, edit history, device info, timestamps, or other hidden details.

What type of file would you be most worried about sharing, and why?

Hi everyone!

I targeted a very saturated and very small market (in terms of users) with my metadata removal app. However, I couldn't find a solution to my problems on iOS—specifically, the need for bulk metadata removal for various file types and the ability to remove more than just EXIF metadata from photos.

So, I created PuryFile. You can select files from the Files picker, pick photos, snap a picture, or create a video, and then remove metadata from all those files and save or share them in one go. There is also a share extension that can process a single file: Tap, remove, and share immediately.

I have many more features in mind; I see at least 6 months of work ahead of me :-D. Please try it out! I am eager to hear your feedback.
