Hi folks. I asked something reasonably similar recently but something else now.

I'm one of two Directors of an ltd that doesn't do anything.

Partner has informed me I need this new code for some sort or return. But looking at it I also need to create a gov one login which sure looks like digital id to me. Without wanting to get particularly political.... I ain't interested...

I've said given it doesn't do anything to just close it but apparently I need it for declaring whatever from the last 2 years?

How do I avoid signing up for digital id. It sounds to me I'm rather stuffed.

Hi, my accountant is trying to do my end of year assessment.

I'm reasonably confused with it all hence paying a guy, but given I've been filling these and my vat for a number of years I'm pretty sure that's all online anyway? I have the government gateway thing I think I'm meaning.

The thing that's bothering me is they're asking for my driving licence and passport. To set it up ("on Xero" is the words so not sure if it specific to Xero but thought I'd add for context)

Without wanting to be particularly political this sounds like the digital id.

What are the other options Please?. I'm fine with the idea of paying taxes. Though not entirely happy with how it's spent! But not with digital id.

Any advice greatly appreciated thanks
