Best desktop UV printer for photorealistic color plus visible 3D relief on small flat parts?
I'm starting a small business making custom knife handle scales (G10, micarta, and eventually titanium). I want to print photorealistic images with real raised texture you can see and feel, like the 2.5D/emboss effect, on parts about 3.5 x 1 inches and 0.1 inches thick.
Budget is around $2,000 to $2,500 for a desktop machine, and I'm a beginner. I'm looking at the xTool O1 Omni and the eufyMake E1, but I haven't used either. For anyone running a machine like this on small rigid parts:
Which one gives the best photo detail and the tallest relief that still looks clean? How well does the ink stick to G10 and bare or anodized titanium, and do you need a primer or surface prep? Since these are handles that get carried and handled, how does the print hold up to wear, and what clear coat do you use over it? And is there another machine in this price range I should be looking at?
Before I buy, I'm also thinking of mailing a few test pieces to a print service. If you know a shop or seller that does raised varnish prints on customer-supplied parts, I'd appreciate the name.
