Just Came Out of Spider-Man…

And man props to Destin Daniel Cretton! The best Holland Spider-Man film and a top tier MCU movie!

And given how successful that movie is shaping up to be at the box office, Cretton looks like he’s going to be one of the biggest Asian American action directors in Hollywood going forward.

Trump administration caps how long international students can stay in US

Another blow to Asian immigration to the US. The number of Asian immigrants to the country is only going to decrease from here, I fear. Don’t expect that 7% Asian American population to increase meaningfully as long as this administration keeps doing what it’s doing.

The Scenes of Koreans in Mexico for the World Cup Are Amazing

So for folks who aren't aware, Korea and Mexico's soccer fandom formed a bond that started in 2018 when Mexico advanced to the knockout stage of the Russia World Cup thanks in large part because the Korean national team beat Germany.

Since then, Mexican soccer fans have since called Korean soccer fans and the team as their brothers. I felt like this dynamic would be reappearing because, like in 2018, Korea and Mexico are in the same group again and the videos coming out from Korean fans in Mexico (Korea is playing their group stage games in Guadalajara) don't disappoint.

Glad to see that bond from 2018 remains strong today.

Thousands still evacuated amid Orange County toxic chemical leak that could lead to explosion. Garden Grove is 43% Asian American, 37% Latino.

>“This is not precautionary… this thing is going to fail, and we don’t know when,” said Orange County Fire Authority Division Chief Craig Covey during a Friday afternoon press conference. “We’re doing our best to figure out when or how we can prevent it.”

>He further elaborated on the possibilities of the leak:

>“We’re doing our best to figure out when or how we can prevent it. There are literally two options left remaining. One, the tank fails and spills a total of about 6,000 to 7,000 gallons of very bad chemicals into the parking lot in that area. Or two, the tank goes into a thermal runaway and blows up.”

This is insane, and we know Trump is preventing FEMA from reaching Democrat states. This could end up really bad in an area that is majority Asian American.
