Moana Live Action: Catherine's father was "apprehensive" about his teenage daughter going to Hollywood. A former Star Wars actor, Jay Laga'aia knows all about the epsteins, the diddys and hollywood's prevalent pedo culture..

The Sydney-based samoan family is also steeply Christian.

Jay took time off to chaperone his daughter throughout the 6 months of filming Moana Live Action in the US.

The Rock addresses small social media minority who think Moana live action shouldn't exist..

He says animated cultural and human themes should be fleshed out by real people in real settings..and he's absolutely correct.

I also think he's being far too patient, far too nice with these loud clueless selfish people

For every one of them, there are thousands of others - including heaps of children around the world - looking forward to moana live action dropping this week..

Moana LA coming out too soon is just a silly social media argument bandied by mom's lonely basement dwellers..

Real people in the real world - with their families and friends - will queue up at the theaters next weekend to watch this moana blockbuster.

Wait 40 years to watch moana in live action starring real people? Stuff that, they'd say..we gonna watch it now!

Moana 3. An Americas tie-in?

There are strong archaelogical. genetic and anthropological evidence that prehistoric polynesian seafarers reached and cohabited with the first peoples of both north and south anerica. They introduced there the polynesian - well samoan - chicken (Heihei?). And also took back to the islands the sweet potato native to south america.

I reckon Moana 3 will see Moana and Maui set sail to either north or south america.

Or prabably a visit to antartica too along the way. There are several maori and cook island legends about reaching the ice covered land.

Moana world tour..one of the many things they're doing right..taking the movie to the people..

Most of these movie launches are boring stuffy elitist affairs. Suit and tie occassions very few normal people have access to.

Not moana. From shanghai, to sydney, london and tomorrow in rio, the cast and production team are taking their movie to the grassroots people who will buy tickets and watch it.

The charity work - visiting hospitals and schools - have also not gone unnoticed. There's some feel-good stories already published online.

And they certainly have the right guy - the people's champ - to get the message out there.

Who can succeed The Rock as Maui?

Well. There's virtually a production line of big burly samoan professional wrestlers who are just as adept with the mic in hand.

Eg. The Usos, Jacob Fatu, Roman Reigns..they can step right in to ghe role.

And don't worry about singing abilities. Most of them come from church and choir backgrounds. They can definitely belt out the lyrics.

Why have deadline, variety, etc, suddenly gone all quiet on moana live action box office predictions?

I mean. For weeks now they've been deathriding this movie. That it'll be the biggest bomb of the year. Just couldn't shut up about it.

Making just $50-$60m domestic opening week. They said.

Now just 10 days from Moana's release, they've gone awfully quiet. Mute. Silent.

What's happened?

Why superhero movies will continue to flop.

As we await tomorrow's big moana launch in london. Thought i'd share here my vast knowledge of superhero movies (ha!). Also given this is now my favorite sub (if the mods stop banning me, ha!)..

90-95 percent of superhero movies will conyinue to flop. Especially overseas.

Why?

Because all the characters - superman, batman, wonder woman, super girl - are old.

All over 60-70 years old. From 3-4 generations ago.

They are no longer relateable to today's young audience. They've all outlived their welcome through repetitive sequels and reboot bullsheet.

Hollywood needs to come up with new stuff. Or else. More and more flops.

What's the difference between The Rock, Tom Holland and Tom Cruise? The Rock is a movie star and a global entertainer.

He sure knows how to promote his movies.

Thousands turn up in Sydney as The Rock belts out You're Welcome!

Expect Moana to pull in $30-$35m in Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands..

Watch out for those china numbers..

Moana tour getting great reception in shanghai. The Rock is probably still the biggest, most recognizable hollywood star in china.

Wouldn't be surprised if moana nabs at least $50m in china market.
