Why cant inventor open files in project ?

Hi all,

long time inventor user but is still get hung up on some file organizing. I have a project file that keeps on growing, and I wanted to subdivide/organize some files. After moving some files in to a subfolder (in the main workspace file) in can't open in at all ? I thought the project file searched all subfolders under the \workspace ? I am used to re-linking some missing files in the assembly but never had it just not open like this. Any help would be great

Slide on path

Hello all,

I'm making a system where parts (cylinders) need to slide in certain slots. In the photo you can see the white line I drew in the middle of the slot, this is the path I wish for the cylinder to follow. I tried:

1-with the transitional constraint, it will just follow the whole body at random. Or I can only select 1 face.

2- I tried copy object and selected the faces that i want it to follow and added a tangent(and transitional) to de surface(also tried as composite) but it does not work.

3 i tried mating the axis of the cylinder on the path-line.

i thought of splitting the (gray)body in multiple places to make smaller bodies for the transitional constraint to follow, but this seems like a workaround to something that should not be so difficult.

I can't seem to think of a way how to get this done any help would be great !
