Anyone go to the Mötley Crüe concert last night?

I didn’t end up going and now I’m curious how it was in person. I saw a bit of video footage and wasn’t sure what to think. Did it come across better live?

Best homemade chicken fingers in Winnipeg now that Mitzi’s is gone?

Now that Mitzi’s is gone, where can I find the best homemade chicken fingers in Winnipeg?

I have a major craving and I’m looking for something close to that old-school, crispy, homemade style — not frozen/chain restaurant ones. Bonus points if they use panko or have a really good honey dill sauce.

Any suggestions?

Unexpected fry discovery in St. Boniface: Notre Dame Rec Centre canteen

Shout out to the Notre Dame Rec Centre in St. Boniface.

There’s a little obscure canteen upstairs that serves freshly cut potato fries, and they are honestly excellent. It was $4 for a big portion, they came out hot, the seasoning was great, and the staff were wonderful.

I’m no food critic, but I’d put these fries in the running for some of the best in Winnipeg.

Curious how Winnipeg feels about psychedelic-assisted therapy these days

Curious if there’s much interest in psychedelic-assisted therapy in Winnipeg these days.

I’m scheduled to participate in a professionally guided psychedelic therapy session next month with a doctor coming into Winnipeg, and I was surprised to hear there are still a few spots available.

I know this type of therapy is still pretty limited and not widely discussed here, but with all the recent research around trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD, end-of-life care, etc., I thought there may be others interested in learning more about it or hearing local experiences.

Not trying to sell anything — more curious whether Winnipeg is starting to open up to these conversations.

Has anyone here explored psychedelic-assisted therapy, ketamine therapy, psilocybin retreats, or similar healing approaches?

Current doctor situation has been rough — looking for recommendations

I’m currently on the lookout for a new doctor in Winnipeg.

I know there’s the doctor finder link, but I’d really love to hear personal recommendations for great doctors who may currently be accepting patients.

My current doctor has unfortunately been a bit of a nightmare. Most recently, it took over 3 months to receive abnormal test results, and that was kind of my last straw.

Any recommendations or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

$450 for a teeth cleaning in Winnipeg… is this normal now?

Paid $450 for a teeth cleaning yesterday . Appointment was about 70-80 minutes and my last cleaning was a couple years ago, but this still feels insanely high to me.

They also wanted to charge extra for putting a little numbing gel on my gums. Talk about nickel and diming.

I know everything is more expensive now, but between food, gas, and now dental bills… what the hell is going on?

Is this actually normal pricing these days or should I start looking for a new hygienist? Thank god there was no tip option.

Hi everyone,

This might be a bit of an unusual ask, but I thought I’d try here.

I’m putting together a small, local storytelling-style event in Winnipeg this fall, centered around connection and real-life experiences people have had after losing someone close to them.

To open the evening, I’m hoping to include a few short, personal stories (around 2–3 minutes each) from people who’ve had a meaningful or unexplainable moment after a loved one passed—something comforting, surprising, or that’s stayed with you.

Nothing over-the-top—just real experiences that felt significant to you. I’d connect with you beforehand to make sure it feels like a good fit and that you’re comfortable sharing.

If it does feel like a fit, I’d of course cover your ticket for the night and your first drink as a thank you.

Totally understand this isn’t for everyone, and not looking to debate beliefs—just hoping to connect with people who’ve had something meaningful happen and might be open to sharing.

If that’s you, feel free to comment or send me a message.

Thanks for reading
