DIY card size Tomoe River refill
I have a dozen or so of these little Hobonichi pocket notebooks, so I figured I'd give this a try, and it works perfectly! One you've trimmed the book down with a craft knife, you're left with a perfectly sized refill, plus a tiny landscape notebook, which is totally usable. (The leftover strip of loose paper and covers becomes two bookmarks and scrap papers to restart fountain pens, jot down reminders, and fold into tiny airplanes.)
