Is it feasible to do basic maintenance on a Jetta with no jacks?

Hi all,

Most of my warranties are now expired, and 80k service is coming up. The dealership gave me a quote of $744 to $950 for a whole bunch of stuff, but I did my own research and found that most OEM parts and fluids I need for this kind of service will add up to just around $300 at most. My brake fluid and coolant are still clean and at a proper level, so they’re not needed.

My only issue is that my dad’s garage and tools are on the other side of the country, and oil + oil filter change and transmission fluid change and fill look like a pain in the ass with no jacks.

Update:

Thanks for the advice, everyone. So the consensus is that this is not feasible, and that the brake fluid and coolant will need to be changed as I’m nearing the service interval. I’ll try my luck with a rental bay first, but I will probably need to splurge on a set of jacks sometimes in the future.
