How to get dock trained for unloader / waterspider / rant
So when I walk in to get assigned a task for the day they occasionally ask me if I’m able to unload or waterspider, but I can only push since it’s basically diverting, I’m interested in unloading but I’ve never asked them how to get trained for it. So I got put in stow yet again
Are you supposed to approach your learning ambassador or something? Thanks
—-Extra stuff don’t need to read really just venting I’ve made a post like this in the past, —
Today was my 4th day in a row stowing, yesterday I was straightening and right after break they swapped with someone because job rotation or something then made me do noncons. Then gave a guys aisles who took Vto.
This dude had every bag messed up especially the bottom bags ,I fixed every bag in one aisle and primarily focused on that. I fixed some bags in the other aisle and the lazy floaters messed them up kept shoving boxes and someone instead of stowing kept putting boxes on the carts I kept stowing them but they eventually made a tower of them on two carts. They kept stowing for a little bit then kept leaving repeat so I basically had little help for the entire shift.
At the end of sort another pa had the gall to ask me can you stay behind and help stow down, ignoring his kittens just chatting across the aisles. Other people just went and hid / do other random stuff instead of working.
Then today I was placed near two lazy mfs, they just kept looking at me when I needed a little bit of help at the start of the shift because a lot of bags weren’t open and no QR codes to open them I also lost my badge for a little bit I eventually fixed it myself, person next to me needed a lot of help but she has always been a slow stower and my manager told us three to help her because we’re “strong” stowers.
They were just talking and looking down at me and the aisle. I looked at them to see if they were going to do something and I kept looking them down and they began to hide in their aisles once I starting staring with a tired frown . They moved him down there to take her aisles and she became a floater
I will say this later on I was able to keep up with the volume and the staring at the btch despite having the friend who became a floater help her her sht was full. It felt good to stare back at you knowing I’m much better than you.
Near the end of sort a lazy floater came to one of my mostly clear aisles i immediately went to him and saw a box sticking out the bottom bag, instead of helping the 60+ year old woman stow down the aisle to my left because the btch girl left I wanted to yell at him I just told him to get out I don’t need you.
I hate having having to work with these lazy people I know it’s Amazon we’re slaves blah blah it’s still a job, I usually go out of my way to help people etc I’ve been here for four months and I’ve seen and worked with exactly three people who are like me in my building and one of them is a 60+ woman.
funny thing about her is she works so hard and people rarely help her so I’m always helping her. I told her let her hampers become blue so management has to deal with it, she kept going even during her break one time, this is insane
She came like at 2am when we were under headcount, PA is stowing my aisles with jiffies while she has carts loaded with boxesand the stowing bags filled with stuff in the back. Happened again another time floater sees her no one helps you get it.
I am so stressed right now every time I stow they keep putting me in heavy aisles and then when I catch up or keep it clear I’m told to help the same people who couldn’t give a f .
I can’t just just slack off because of my work ethic. I know you can do basically nothing and get away with it but that’s not me and I hate that I won’t give up
And you people who keep looking why do you keep staring / looking at other people when they need help, it’s annoying I’m busting my self when you have no volume with packages just slapped in your bags.
I hope you guys are stuck working here you deserve to be here and it’s a good thing youre here not talking about people who have no other choice. Unfortunately I’ll be here until likely December I’ll have enough saved
These past 3 weeks have been making me so bitter I sleep 3-4 hours everynight. I keep seeing the same people over and over ,some managers have developed an attitude not giving basic respect or dismissive when I need help with things I can’t fix on my own, I rarely ever talk to them even the new pa who transferred here is a b. I notice the same people getting put in low volume aisles / p2b section, it’s evident because their bags are sht and they never fall behind for the entire shift. And it ends up being a pain in pick and stage I’ve seen people straighten days in a row these aren’t older people with accomadations
when I push I specifically am always sent to the very back or eventually because they leave or grow tired , when I’m in the middle I make sure to organize / straighten almost every box and jiffy and throw the c/ds all the way over so they don’t have to reach all the way over but when I’m sent to the back they give me the very bare minimum like a hole I was making your job so much easier you can’t do anything for me.
Sometimes there are jams and no one goes and gets a manager and lets the c/d pile into a mass no one stops the belt or tries to wedge it out, I had a person behind me not do a single thing when it happened once. Once I tried to use a jam pole. People saw me and no one got help
