Diabetic friendly frozen treats

Hi 👋🏾 it’s began to get increasingly hotter in the midwest (Indiana, has been in the 90s most of the week) and very rarely i like to have a cold treat like a freeze pop/popsicle but looking for healthier alternatives, what are your go tos?

What qualities do you look for in choosing a pcp or other doctors?

Hello good afternoon everyone from my side of the world so what do you all look for in a person as far as medical provider when switching or choosing a different provider ? I finally made the choice to switch my primary care provider who initially gave me the diagnosis because I felt like she didn’t communicate properly, if you go back to previous posts you’ll see why i said that, but I just need some help and some advice.

Is this support or trying to control my life?

Just really need to vent and seek possible advice and encouragement.. if any of you aren’t familiar with my previous posts I’ll sum it up like this I’m 29 was diagnosed type 2 diabetic in March over the phone after my doctor randomly sent a prescription over to my local pharmacy for metformin 500 mg (extended release i think) calling me and explaining properly.. anyway I stopped taking it because lately I’ve been having problems with digesting food properly (always feels like the food is stuck in my throat or chest sometimes, also i am not associating this with the metformin or any effect of metformin) and it scares me to take my medicine after the meal because that sensation lasts from 10-30 minutes more or less and i get scared that the pill could get lodged in my throat as i have a phobia of pills.. yesterday me and my mom were on a call with my grandma who lives 10 hours away and she asked if I’ve been taking my meds and I told her why (the reason i listed in this post) and my mom just lowkey started ranting and trying to preach about how I need that medicine even though I broke down to her about my struggles with digestion and etc yes i need the medicine but the fear of this food being stuck in my throat and having to take the metformin immediately after makes me anxious i dont like this feeling..am i overreacting? Sometimes my mom has a tendency to blurt things out in a rather ignorant way without realizing how it hurts my feelings.. i do intend to start taking the metformin again but I’m so lost on what to do and it doesnt help any that I feel i have no support to help eat healthier because she does the grocery shopping and I don’t have a steady income but i will try to figure out something.. thank you for listening

Problems digesting food properly and metformin

Hi everyone I’m type 2 as of March 17th this year and still slowly figuring things out but I’m slightly concerned as sometimes when i eat i feel that the food isn’t digested properly and just sits in my throat causing constant burping and attempting to “swallow” now where the metformin (500mg extended release i believe )comes into play is I’m supposed to have it with evening meals (sometimes i forget because i don’t always eat dinner so i try to take it the next morning after a meal) I already have a phobia of pills getting stuck in my throat , what can i do to make it easier? I see my pcp next month
