I’ve read the rep guides, searched old posts, and taken crazy notes, but I feel more confused than when I started. 🫠

I know the answer is usually “it depends on the model,” but how do you all keep track of which factories are best for what? I read the rep guide but I feel the info might be outdated?

Every time I think I’ve figured it out, I read something completely different.

I’m also drawn to gold watches, but a lot of rep gold looks off to me.

Is there a simpler way to learn the factory landscape, or is it just years of experience and research? With all the raids and closures I’m struggling to make heads or tails

Also, is a 6-week wait from order to delivery pretty normal?

I don’t mind putting in the work but Ive been at this since March. 💩

I’m just a chick starting to collect watches and curious who you use to service your reps when and if they need repair?

I feel nervous to take them in afraid of being scolded by some old dude giving me a lecture and the only time I took a watch on to get sized the jeweler complimented my rep.

But obviously when you open them up is when you see the difference in many of these.

Just curious your experience. I don’t want to buy new if all it needs is a simple fix. I feel attached to many of my reps as if they were authentic.
