Jesus 's Focus #36: Jesus taught what mattered most in each situation. He’s gentle in rebuke to the earnest hearted. Reference: Luke 10: 40-42

I saw the above focus of Jesus in the following verses "MARTHA MARTHA." Would love to hear what you all see in this example of Jesus. I see keep an eye on priorities; make sure He's number 1.

Luke 10:40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. 41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: 42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosenthat good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Focus#2: Wisdom, Health, and Relationships

Here’s the verse: KJV: Luke 2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.

Wisdom: My struggle with wisdom is balancing this work of learning the word of Jesus and then understanding what’s going on in the world; reading books / news / movies / YouTubing … I read NYT daily and Economist weekly (at least a chunk). I’m seeking wisdoms balance. I’m doing this focus practice for the Word.

Stature: I’m on a health journey. I find if I eat well and move well I feel well. Feeling well to me feels like feeling God. I’m starting to believe God needs me in shape. Which I am not. I’m struggling to find the screen time balance.

Relationships: this Reddit practice is my attempt to reach out to God and to people and start to try to share my journey. I can’t say I’m gaining favor or that is the goal. It’s not really my intent. My goal is to just be honest with where I’m at and share it. And learn from others. Which is happening.

Please share what you see in Focus #2.

Podcast: 1 on 1 or Group of 4 with a guest?

I’m starting a podcast to discuss the future role of the human voice in business in the age of AI. Future of Marketing effectively … Basic idea is: every brand will need a real human behind it - people will dislike Bot Deception. People need people.

I’m getting a pretty good list of Chief Marketing Officers as potential guests.

From a public speaking perspective: One on one will force me to work on my interviewing skills and ask more of me. Having 3 colleagues join me may be more interesting but it also limits my growth. I’d like advice on two things:

  1. What to do 1 or 4?
  2. If 4, how does one work on conversational public speaking with less air time?

Grateful for all guidance.
