Hi everyone!

I planted scarlet runner beans as an experiment and wow did they take off!! I just picked a bunch still green then realized I have no idea how to process them. Can I shell and just cook them while they are still brightly colored? Should I shell, then dry, then cook? Let the pods dry out then shell??

I am in central Rhode Island, US and planted these in May straight from the bag, everyone germinated and they produced beautiful red flowers! I didnt think they pollinated and then BAM! Pods!!
