What are your favorite canyons?
Worldwide and why ? I’m having a hard time finding reliable information on canyoning routes that are truly worth the trip.
My favorites so far have been:
- Maglia (France - full day): beautiful narrow gorges, turquoise water, a stunning white cave, and waterfalls; lots of fun with high jumps and slides (unfortunately no longer accessible)
- Barbeira (Italy - full day): beautiful narrow gorges with lush vegetation and water trickling from the roots, turquoise water; lots of fun with high jumps and slides
- Sa Fosca (Mallorca - full day): a completely dark, very winding cave; the jumps and slides are less fun but very impressive and physically challenging
