Bianchina out in the countryside

I was worried when I bought her, but wow what an awesome bike she is. Fresh tape for the picture.

Newbie just bought a Bianchi on the internet…

So, me (M34) a newbie into road cycling (other than leisurely cycling on roads and gravel) just got the itch to buy a racing bike to try what it’s all about after long time of lurking (years). I’m into running, but due to reoccurring issues I have to switch to cycling for a bit (going to alternate). Now I’ve been browsing for a long time on and off, but the last week kicked me off since I have to cut back on my running again. I looked at my country’s main reselling website for faster bikes and wanted to pull the trigger on something. I saw these names I recognised, Bianchi, Cannondale, Trek.

Today I pulled the trigger on this Bianchi 1885 RC with Campagnolo Veloce in Celeste, apparently my size (M) as well and quite cheap (equivalent of USD400). I became obsessed, I just had to buy it. This bike screamed at me. It is to be delivered as it’s located at the other end of my country. Now I wonder what I’ve got myself into. The pictures seem fine and seller hasn’t noted anything. What should I eventually check upon arrival? I’m a bit worried about the forks being of carbon (or a mix of carbon and aluminium) and what damages they eventually might have, how can I get sure they’re all safe and good?

Sorry for this mess of a post, I’m so excited and nervous in the same time now.
