Apple Mac mini and OCW external disc drive paired via a satechi hub, out to a classic Sony Bravia television.
The Sony television and JVC CD/DVD player run out to an Onkyo R1 amplifier/receiver from about 1992. The amplifier is hard wired to two pairs of loudspeakers - a pair of Technics A50s for bass and mid frequencies and Polk monitors (I believe 5000s) for added mids and treble.
The Sony VCR isnt hooked up because it requires a new power cable because my cat chewed it :(
Is this crackhead tier? Yes and I don’t care it because it makes the block bump.
Is it cyberpunk? In my opinion, kind of in an endearing way. Yeah.
Do I think more people would enjoy a similar setup? 110%. This is incredibly comfortable, user friendly and has a multitude of practical party tricks. More than rgb lights could ever give. The ergonomics of a living room are perfect for creative work, editing and other things both professional and leisurely.
