AIDAN ZAMIRI CAROLINE POLACHEK SHOOT CAMERA SETTINGS + LIGHTING?

Does anyone know what camera settings or lighting Aidan Zamiri might use for his Caroline Polachek shoots?

I know it’s actually full frame mirrorless not medium format or film, but it has that really soft, cinematic editorial look.

Any guesses on lens, aperture, lighting setup or how much is done in post vs in camera would be appreciated.

Trying to understand the lighting on the Sophia Stel The Face cover shot by David Sims. The skin looks super soft and glowing with very minimal shadow but still keeps shape and depth, and the whole image feels very controlled and clean.

I’m mainly curious what kind of lighting setup or modifiers would create this kind of look, and how much of it is driven by lighting versus grading or tone curve work in post.

Also wondering about the background and set choices in this kind of image. Does the background colour or material play a role in how the light wraps or feels, or is it mostly irrelevant once you’re using very large diffusion? Are there other parts of the setup people often overlook that contribute to this kind of softness and polish?
