I need someone who can essentially emulate Ableton's warp mode for web application. Advanced understanding of vocoders and phasing is a must. DM or comment any questions. Budget is at least 1k dollars for a working prototype.
it seems these days no one knows what a well mixed and mastered song sounds like (actually its been like this for decades). so i thought i would share some songs that are very well mixed and mastered, because if you don't know what is good then how can you know what to listen for.
these tracks aren't necessarily my favorite songs, they're simply great references for balance, clarity, dynamics, and overall sound quality from a range of different genres and time periods.
The Moody Blues - Nights In White Satin
Ambrosia - You're The Only Woman
Mr. Mister - Broken Wings
Animotion - Obsession
Wham! - Everything She Wants
Mark Morrison - Return of the Mack
Coolio - Fantastic Voyage
Crystal Waters - Gypsy Woman
R.E.M. - Losing My Religion
Blaque - Bring It All To Me (S+ tier)
Baby Bash - Suga Suga
Craig David - 7 Days
Kylie Minogue - Can't Get You Out Of My Head
Death Cab For Cutie - Soul Meets Body (S+ tier)
Hawthorne Heights - Ohio Is For Lovers
MGMT - Kids
Skrillex - Selecta (S+ tier)
Strange Talk - Painted In Gold (Robotaki remix) (S+ tier)
The Weeknd - I Feel It Coming
the vast majority of the songs you hear online and even on the radio are actually poorly mixed and mastered (even though most are done professionally) which can make or break a song. mixing/mastering is a very under-appreciated factor in music that mostly goes unnoticed, at least to the passive/casual listener. maybe you will be able to feel the difference after listening to these songs i showcased~
