personally, i like how silly the lyrics sound when you take them at the surface level, but i’ve seen a lot of criticism for the song?

similar to starfuckers, i feel it’s a little out of place, but it amuses me when im listening to the full album and i hear TR’s voice threatening to cum all over me, though i understand those who find it upsetting.

if you’re listening to TDS for the darkness of it, bmwag is probably annoying, and i think TR said he didn’t like it on the album, but honestly the break from doom and gloom helps bring my mood up. (… which in fairness isn’t really the reason anyone’s listening to TDS…)

thoughts?

edit: i don’t think SA is a ‘silly’ topic, but how TR sings the song and the lyrics, it amuses me how stupid it can sound at the surface level bc all i can hear is a teenage boy in my class trying to be edgy.

i like listening to full albums, but do you have a favourite set of three songs? and, what makes you choose that ‘set’?

i’ve only been listening to NIN properly for about a year, and as someone who was born after with teeth came out, i want to know why closer is so popular?

ofc i love the song, but closer doesn’t even hit top 15 NIN songs for me? unless it’s for ‘iconic’ reasons.

can someone tell me why it was so popular? is it the time it came out? nin’s reputation at the time? because the song’s a little overt about sex?

can someone, preferably anyone who was listening to nin from the start or in the 90’s, tell me why it got such a wide reception?
