Make no mistake, Schumer isn’t upset that Trump attacked Iran. He’s upset the war wasn’t more destructive to Iran. He represents the interests of his class.
Again, every “if Kamala were president…” told-you-so is caveated by her insistence that Iran needed to be brought to heel by any means necessary.
Don’t confuse “Trump waged war the wrong way” with being anti-war.
In the months and years ahead, you’re going to see a lot more post-Vietnam style whining that we should’ve “taken the gloves off” and “finished the job” in Southeaste West Asia.
Americans aren’t capable of accepting defeat and learning from the mistakes that brought them to their knees. The only thing the country is capable of seeing in hindsight is that it “should’ve” harmed the other nation more and secured a victory only possible in fantasy.
