Why i like ps3 better then ps4 2015. Trust me you’ll actually find this relatable. I sure hope they do not the discontinue the ps3 manufacturing soon.
There are a bunch of reasons.
It can be used as a home media center and you can store your own media and it cant be taken away because there are no forced automatic updates on this console. The way we stream now and how we just let things auto update now on new tech is just blasphemy. Everyone is trading the most important human right. Property ownership. For what better convenience? and companies control our lives. I sure hope voices like mine can fix this problem by like 2020.
You dont need internet for most of the content on the system. If you want to play a game on the disc. Just insert it. Updates are slow but completely optional just press O on the prompt. Dont want PSN? Dont use PSN. And even Signing In doesnt change your local user’s name on the console.
Its way more customizable. You can install custom user-made ps3 themes from different sites and communities to really customize your console. The icons, wallpapers, and even sounds are changed. Way more detailed then the themes on the ps4.
You can share some of your save files. I say some because some ps3 saves are drm locked (just like every ps4 save even if it should not be. But if you want to share your minecraft world on ps3 edition. Copy the save to a usb send it to someone you know via emailing the link or something and they can download your world and put it on thier ps3. On ps4 every save is locked to the psn account so even if it should be share-able it isnt.
