My first japanese knives! I traveled to the knife-shop "Tetogi" in Copenhagen and tried out knives for a blissful hour or two. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, I'd recommend a visit if you're in the vicinity.
The two knives that "spoke" to me were this relatively hefty bunka and a diminuitive petty.
The bunka cuts very nicely, and has good food release. Very utilitarian and plain, which I like. I might consider a new handle at some point. It's Zelkova, and has an unpleasant odor when wet. The knife is somewhat blade-heavy as well, which might be remedied a little by a heftier handle.
The petty is new old stock knife from the 90's (about my own vintage), and charmed med very much. The tip is ground with an extra thin bevel on the right side, and so cuts beautifully on small, precise tasks. I'm looking forward to see the patina develop on it.

I'm currently looking for a nakiri in denmark, and saw this pretty thing:

I really like the understated look and the high hardness rating.

Can anyone here talk me out of gutting my wallet and getting the Moritaka?
I'm very open to alternative suggestions from european sellers in the 100 to 250 USD range.

Har i nogle gode / dårlige erfaringer med et skinnesystem til pendellamper?
Jeg har byget et spisebord med udtræk, og vendt det 90° ift til vores gamle. Derfor kunne jeg rigtig godt tænke mig at montere en strømskinne i loftet, så jeg kan flytte rundt på spisebordslamperne, når bordet er trukket ud.
Silvan forhandler Osram Tracklight og Halo Design Track - men der er en masse andre muligheder på markedet også, og jeg vil rigtig gerne undgå at købe noget træls skrald.
Vi har ikke brug for at kunne tænde lamperne separat, så enkeltfase burde være fint.
