I've used Contactless Debit Card payment with my phone on Vline a couple of times, and it appears that at the moment conductors don't have the ability to check. So, essentially, anyone can just tell them they used their phone and they'll just pass you by. When are they getting the ability to check contactless payments? (Presumably AO's already have it but I'm yet to come across any of them).

Just had a look at the PTV app.

You can now buy half price myki passes. So for example a 7 day Zone 1/2 Pass, previously $57, is now $28.50. A 28 Day 1/2 Pass previously $191.52 is now $95.76. And a yearly is now $1111.50. What's interesting about this is that as long as you buy one prior to December 31 (assuming the availability doesn't change and prices go back up at the end of the year) means you would get half price travel for all of 2027. Yearly passes may suddenly become much more popular.

Obviously this all depends on the government not changing their minds (again), extending the free time further, etc etc.
