My doctor warned me about my rising visceral fat last month so ive been waiting on hume health black friday deals to finally grab one. ive been eyeing a smart scale with handle sensors for a while now, and a guy at my gym highly recommended hume pod so i was immediately sold on getting one

(btw side rant: why is literally every health device pushing an app subscription nowadays?? i swear my phone is 90% health apps at this point but whatever lol)

I did check out some alternatives:

Xiaomi: didnt like any of their options
Withings: liked it, but out of my budget

Anyway, since bf week is here, im trying to figure out if there are any hume health black friday sales actually live. moneys a bit tight after some unexpected car repairs this month, so i really cant afford to pay full price

Hey everyone, so as the title mentioned is google lens not working for anyone else today or is it just my phone?

So basically i went to a local plant nursery with my mom earlier to pick up some stuff for her garden. she found this weird looking succulent she fell in love with but it didnt have a tag or name on the pot. i tried to scan it to figure out what it was and how to care for it, but the app just keeps freezing on searching… or throwing a network error, even though my 5g is totally fine. im not sure what else i could use instead of google lens if its really not working now?

I tried restarting my phone and clearing the cache, but it did not help at all, google lens not working for me still. is this a known glitch right now or is there some fix im missing? i use it quite often so it would be nice to fix it as soon as possible

Hey everyone, soo Ive been on a bit of a mission lately to find the best search engine. Lately it feels like every time I search for a product review or a simple fix for something around the house, all I get is just paid ads, ai summaries that miss the point, seo affiliate blogs etc…

I decided to spend some of my time testing out a few alternative options to see if i can find search engines that are better than google. To keep track of everything I found, I made a comparison of search engines I tried, just looking at their privacy, result quality, and if they push annoying ads

Here it is:

Google	tracking and ad profiling	its okay, but became worse because of heavy ad placements and seo spam	its fast, but feels like ad network first and a search engine second…
Duckduckgo	high privacy	good for everyday stuff	easy to switch to, but results can feel a bit weak for niche technical stuff
Startpage	high privacy	excellent	good if you want googles result quality without being tracked
Kagi	max privacy	incredible, the best result quality overall	the best search engine out of this comparison, but having a monthly fee isnt for everyone

Doing this comparison of search engines was like an eye opener for me. I realized just how much time I was wasting every day scrolling past sponsored posts, ads and affiliate stuff before I could even reach organic link. Switching away from google isnt as hard as I thought it would be at all, you get used to most of these alternatives almost instantly. And to be honest, getting straightforward search results on the very first try has been an amazing feeling lol

So maybe someone also decided to move away from google? What search engine you ended up using? Did you stick with a free option, or is anyone paying for something like kagi?

My 3 year old rescue dog usually eats his bowl in like 12 seconds, but for the last 2 days hes ignoring his meals. I havent changed his food, and hes still drinking water and seems fine overall, but whenever its mealtime he just sniffs it, looks at me, and walks away. Its weird even more because he still take a piece of chicken or a treat if I offer it, so I cant tell if hes actually sick or if my dog not eating food is just him turning into a picky diva out of nowhere lol

Im probably going to give it until tomorrow morning and try mixing in some warm bone broth or plain chicken to see if he will start eating food. if this dog not eating food behaviour will continue even after that without any treats helping either, Im definitely taking him into the vet just to be safe.. but now i decided to ask here if anyones elses dog started not eating food out of nowhere?
