sil housing situation
so i have autism spectrum disorder, level 2, and im under the belief that i dont fit the criteria to live in a SIL or ILO. i do have moderate impacts on my day to day life, but i would rather have support workers come over to my own house to help with domestic tasks etc when i am experiencing a mental health fluctuation and need that support. i dont see how putting me into a home would actually benefit me, as i believe i can mostly manage myself independently. im really sick of infantilisation as well and being treated as if im incapable of making my own decisions, i read my plan review and most of it isnt applicable to me. i can shower, dress myself, eat, etc and they’ve noted that i “need assistance”. i’m not sure if that’s to get more funding, but i barely use my ndis funding as it is, and the things i actually need, such as regular therapy, i have no funding for. it’s frustrating because i feel like im not autonomous and im being treated as if i dont actually know what’s best for me.
