Episode 3 Assumptions
Possible spoilers for true end of game in needy streamer overload and ep 3 in anime. If needed lmk I'll add tag.
More of an open yap session that I'm curious if anyone has anything to add on to.
After episode 3, especially in the anime subreddit, I see this topic being brought up more as a lot of people assume Ame slept with the bully and his friends(??) for her first time represented by the lollipop moving and some context of the imagery.
I just wanted a main post that would silence these discussions as it's a pretty uncomfortable topic that keeps being brought up as a fact and I'd rather it not become some sort of community "canon".
To start, I disagree with this assumption a lot ngl but mainly with how it's being spread as a fact that canonically happened and not as a theory or interpretation.
A lot of this episode hints at Ame being an unreliable narrator that may embellish some parts of her past that happened and I feel a lot of people ignore this part like. Like with the bullies making a guy do a niche "para para" dance that only a nerd would actually know, in his underwear in class. Or the bullies she talked to once coming to save her from the girls while she flips them off like it's a shoujo drama anime. It all feels a bit like it's made up imo. The episode ends with KAngel Literally saying "influencers will lie through their teeth and use tragedy to gain sympathy" and the multiple shots of spider/ web imagery. I think it represents the viewer being trapped in ame "tragic backstory" just like idols do to fans.
In the game she mentions being a middle school drop out and I feel the majority if not most of this backstory could just be either fake or simply that she was bullied slightly and dropped out, so she made this entire dramatic backstory up to make as an excuse for her dropping out and to not feel guilty.
Besides this one of the main things people said in support of this was the bloodied panty followed by the lollipop but I think it's simply instead representing her period which ties into the episode of her life growing up and outside factors like family abuse, bullying, etc all piling up and the lollipop is a weird representation of her sanity slipping into "KAngel" hence why it's all colorful KAngel colors in the background of the lollipop shors and not just the lollipop itself.
Or the lollipop could be more random imagery tbh which the anime series likes clearly.
Others mention the lollipop moving and its sound is a bit suggestive but at most it sounds like a piston not bed noises which maybe could be sus but again isn't for sure an analogy it's a reach at most and imo is meant to show her brain being shaken into her KAngel self that we see start manifesting at the end of the episode.
In the game not to mention after pressing the *** option she rants about it being her first time doing it with P chan like it's her first time in general. And if P chan isn't real like the true ending suggests then wouldn't it be possible that she's a virgin during the game's time which is around the anime time wise and obviously after episode 3.
Furthermore, slightly messed up but if Ame was consensually sleeping with the bullies and was obsessed with the feeling of being wanted wouldn't she have been less against her mothers idea of pimping her out. And if it was nonconsensual to protect the kid being bullied or for self protection wouldn't she be more disgusted or have any sort of reaction rather than smiling with them.
Idk I think her chastity is intentionally ambiguous at most and it's a personal interpretation whether she actually did it with the bullies or not if that episode is even an entirely truthful story. Either way it certainly shouldn't be stated like it's a known canon fact that she isn't a virgin especially with how abstract the series is and with how unreliable Ame is as a narrator and should instead be clarified as a theory/interpretation at best. Thoughts?
