Two thoughts about this story are warring for attention in my brain:
This is a disturbing story of government trampling free speech
Bravo to whomever chose that selfie as the lede photo. 10/10 trolling, no notes
I'm in the mood for a slasher where there's no hint of the supernatural. Not only is the killer a baseline human, but neither the characters nor the narrative ever give any indication that it's a possibility.
I've read Final Girls by Riley Sager, which I really liked, and The Final Girls Support Group by Grady Hendrix, which I hated. Other slashers that I liked but don't fit this requirement are the Indian Lake trilogy and Breathe In, Bleed Out.
Any length, format or author is welcomed. I have no problem with gore but prefer to avoid graphic depictions sexual violence. Thank you!
