Minnee haul/review

I deleted my last post which was the wrong project/wrong place; I got into both Minnee and mirror mi mini mi this week.

The 16 points of articulation on the Minnee are:
1 head (removable)
6 shoulder/elbow/wrist
1 waist/bust
2 hip joint
2 thigh swivel
2 top and bottom knee joint
2 ankle/foot joint

I picked up Roller Derby, Candy Boutique, and Cat Cafe. I used the peak at the card cheat, very carefully peeling the stickers and gently popping the bottom open. I did my best to leave them looking untampered, it’s a great design that allows a cheat without damaging any of the blind bags, objects or inserts and without crushing or damaging packaging, which I think was a good choice knowing how motivated consumers have been to foil blind box methods, attempt to return unwanted duplicates, and damage packaging, that their design keeps that in mind, and will keep their stock in sale condition.

The Minnee is delicate and requires the limbs to be taken off for tight clothing pieces, nothing has broken yet but I am extra cautious every time I style them. My candy boutique’s top split at the side seam, It’ll just have to be her permanent top.

The hair is very soft, I like having both a curly hair and a straight hair doll so I can brush the straight hair but leave the curls styled.

This doll can probably get into more creative poses than the mini mi’s, but I did take a couple of Minnee’s in the mini mi travel box for science. If the mini mi stand arm goes around a chunky clothing item or their waist + 1 arm or accessory they stayed put well, but I was also too embarrassed to get them out of the loud plastic box out and about, so I found I prefer to travel with them in a small front pocket, and with certain dolls and accessories they’ve been able to float in a pocket without losing accessories or looking too rumpled.

10/10 this week has been big for sad news and these doll drops have brought me some joy and creative play.
