Are We Still Thinking in the Age of AI?

I've been thinking about something lately.

AI can summarise a book, explain a concept, write an argument, generate ideas and even challenge our assumptions.

That's incredibly useful.

But I wonder if there is a downside we don't talk about enough.

If we always ask AI to explain something before struggling with it ourselves, do we lose some of the learning that comes from figuring things out?

I'm not anti-AI. Quite the opposite. I think it can be an extraordinary learning tool.

But perhaps the best approach is:

Think first. Ask AI second. Question the answer third.

How do you personally use AI without letting it replace your own thinking?
