2008 Boxster almost stranded me

Yesterday was a nice day... upper 70s, sun shining... I had a couple errands to run. Let's take the Boxster! First stop, Lowes to return some stuff. 25 min ride on stop and go roads. Nothing crazy, no highways. I shut her down and headed in to the returns desk. 15 min tops later I was back in the car and ready to go. Turned the key and it sputtered once but didn't start. Cranked some more and nothing. didn't even try to start. Seemed like no gas or no spark. I tried several times. Then I took the key out and sat there for about 5 or so minutes trying to decide what to do. Call AAA? Then I tried again and this time it started up and seemed just fine. OK, I better take it home and switch cars for the rest of my errands. When I got home and turned it off, it started again just fine. Later I played with it some more and still started fine. Maybe 6 or 7 times. Again, this morning, started right up ready and raring to to go have some fun. I'm not sure what to think. I hate the feeling of not trusting it. I hate problems that seem to fix themselves because I know it will come back, probably at the worst possible time. I asked Gemini about it and it says it's a classic case of the crankshaft position sensor going out. Could the AI actually be right? Anyone else been here before? The AI did tell me to look for a couple codes, and I will do that tomorrow. (P0335 or P0336)
