Pixel 10 after almost a year: my experience

Almost 365 days with the Pixel 10, so I thought I’d share my experience.

I’ve always used two phones, an iPhone as my primary and an Android as my secondary. Before the Pixel, I had a Nothing Phone and a OnePlus 8. I also had the OG Nexus 4 years ago, which I absolutely loved. So I’ve always been a fan of Google’s clean Android experience.

Design: I absolutely love how this phone looks. I use it with the official Google case, and even with a transparent case or no case, it looks great. Easily my favourite thing about the phone.

Software: This is probably why I’ll continue buying Pixels. It’s clean, minimal and just feels nice to use. It doesn’t have the crazy amount of customisation that some other Android skins offer, but I actually prefer it this way.

Battery: Easily lasts me a full day. I usually charge it in the morning and still have around 30 to 40% left at night. I do use GPS and hotspot occasionally. However, my screen time is split between two phones, so take that into account.

Display: The display is great and 120Hz is super smooth. My only complaint is the bezels. Using it alongside my iPhone 16 Pro makes them look a little chunky. I was really hoping for Google to finally improve this with Pixel 11 but they didn’t. I think we’ll have to wait till Pixel 12.

Performance: This is where I’m slightly disappointed. I mostly play light games like Clash of Clans and Monopoly, yet I’ve noticed occasional frame drops and stutters. Nothing that ruins the experience, but at this price, I expected better. I’m curious to see how it holds up over the next few years.

Camera: I’m not really a camera person, so I don’t have much to say here. I mostly use my iPhone for photos, but whenever I use the Pixel, it does the job perfectly fine for me.

Connectivity: Zero complaints. Good signal, good call quality and no issues with people hearing me.

Overall, after almost a year, I’m still really enjoying the Pixel 10. It’s not the fastest phone or the most feature-packed Android, but I genuinely like using it.

The clean software + great design + good battery is enough to keep me in the Pixel camp.

Might pick up another Pixel in a year or two if Google keeps improving the hardware.
Pixel 10 has definitely been a good purchase for me.
