FT: One Taguig 1-3 Kaya

FT: One Taguig 1-3 Kaya

⚽️FULL TIME⚽️

Kaya showed the league champ difference as they stunned One Taguig and dealt them a severe blow to their title hopes, running out 3-1 victors in a stunning game.

When Jesus Melliza buried a fine finish in the first half, the warning signs had been issued as Kaya found their flow for the first time in a little while.

One Taguig were gifted a way back into the game when an uncharacteristic error from Pathy Malumandsoko allowed Isaac Agyemang to take the ball past Deyto and finish, but they were unable to capitalise further.

Instead, Jovin Bedic snuck a header in at the near post to restore Kaya’s lead, and then the hammer blow fell as Paolo Bugas smashed home deep into injury time.

What a day of football this is turning out to be!

FT: Manila Digger 1-1 Stallion Laguna

⚽️FULL TIME⚽️

Manila Digger stumbled again as they drew 1-1 with a resilient Stallion Laguna side in a heated and closely contested match.

The Diggers remain winless in Round 3 after 3 matches, and once again were seemingly rushing shots and efforts. They fell behind after Finn McDaniel converted from close range after a superb run down the wing by Juan Trujillo. The Diggers equalised through a fired shot from Ziggy Taningco before the break, and neither side were able to get the elusive winner.

A heated fracas in the second half saw both sides shown red cards, and the game withered in quality as it got scrappy around the boxes.

A big moment in the Championship Group!

PFL League Table Update

🏆LEAGUE TABLE🏆

Following our midweek fixtures, here is how the table looks! The big move comes as One Taguig have edged ahead of Manila Digger by a point, taking advantage of their game in hand with a draw against Cebu.

Meanwhile, Tuloy’s hard-fought draw with Maharlika means they are now guaranteed to finish 9th overall and 3rd in the Classification Group, as they can no longer be caught by Mendiola behind them.

A great Wednesday of football!

FT: One Taguig 1-1 Dynamic Herb Cebu

⚽️FULL TIME⚽️

One Taguig went top of the table despite succumbing to a late equaliser as they drew 1-1 with Dynamic Herb Cebu jn a highly entertaining clash.

After a cagey first half, One Taguig took the lead following a glorious cross by Mark Hartmann and a powerful header from Patrick Reichelt. It looked like they would see out the game, but substitute Kaito Asano powered home a strike into the corner to equalise the match late on.

In a game with plenty of chances and some top class football, this was a superb advert again for the PFL.

FT: Tuloy 1-1 Maharlika

⚽️FULL TIME⚽️

Tuloy battled to a superb draw with Maharlika in both sides’ penultimate fixture of the season.

The star was undoubtedly Tuloy’s Michael Antilo Jr. who put in a flying keeper performance as has so often been the case this season.

A shock was on the cards when Cyrelle Saut converted from the spot to give Tuloy the lead right before the half time whistle. However a superb flowing direct move from Maharlika saw their star Jin-hyeon Kim smash home in the second half to equalise.

Both sides had chances but played out an entertaining draw in a great representation of Filipino football.

FT: Don Bosco Garelli United 8-1 Philippine Army

⚽️FULL TIME⚽️

Philippine Army ended their 2025/26 season winless after a 8-1 thrashing at the hands of Don Bosco Garelli United.

Yuta Yamaguchi and Solomon Okereke both grabbed hat tricks as they romped to a superb win, continuing their excellent form in the Classification Group.

Jerome Abarca and Desmond Ngai also got on the scoresheet either side of a rocket by John Celiz that prevented Garelli from their first clean sheet of Round 3.

I’ll do a full season round up for each team later, but this marks the end to a disappointing Army campaign.

PFL Bible Team of the Week

🌟TEAM OF THE WEEK🌟

A stunning weekend of matches made this another tough Team of the Week to draw! Here’s what I’ve decided for this week’s PFL Bible Team of the Week.

In goal, it’s the ever reliable Miloš Čupić of One Taguig. He’s protected by a back 4 of Cebu’s Naoki Takasu and Roberto Corsame Jr. and One Taguig teammates Stephen Halm and Daisuke Sato, who also picks up the Player of the Week Award after a stunning performance against Stallion.

The midfield contains Mike Ott of Kaya and Marius Koré from Cebu, with Kaya’s Jesus Melliza on the right and One Taguig’s Stephan Schröck on the left.

Up top, it’s the goalscoring duo of Manila Digger’s Saikou Ceesay alongside One Taguig’s Patrick Reichelt.

Manager of the Week goes to Coach Arvin Jay Soliman following a superb win over Stallion Laguna.

FT: One Taguig 3-0 Stallion Laguna

⚽️FULL TIME⚽️

One Taguig’s leaders stepped up in a big way as they answered the challenge, cruising to a smooth 3-0 victory over Stallion Laguna.

With close rivals Manila Diggers dropping points over the last two weeks, the door was open for One Taguig to respond, and they did that in a big way, Patrick Reichelt and Stephan Schröck bundling home in the first half before Daisuke Sato added a third with a fine header in the second half.

This is a massive result that moves the level on points at the top with a game in hand. Stallion struggled to break down a well organised defence. This was One Taguig back at their best. What a game!

FT: Kaya 3-1 Aguilas UMak

⚽️FULL TIME⚽️

Kaya kept their AFC qualification dream alive as they put in a superb performance to defeat Aguilas 3-1.

Manila Diggers’ earlier draw with Cebu confirmed that Kaya could no longer win the league, as their run of 3 successive league titles officially ends this season. They put that disappointment behind them however as they soundly defeated a strong Aguilas side.

After a cagey opening exchange, Martini Rey seized upon a rare error from Enrico Mangaoang to smash home and give Kaya the lead. This was doubled in the second half when Shuto Komaki converted after good work down the right wing. Captain Kaya Jovin Bedic made it 3 following a brilliant counter.

Aguilas grabbed a late consolation through the in-form Justin Peña, but it was too little too late.

FT: Dynamic Herb Cebu 1-1 Manila Digger

⚽️FULL TIME⚽️

Manila Digger handed title rivals One Taguig a massive boost as they succumbed to a 1-1 draw with an impressive Cebu side.

When Saikou Ceesay smashed home in the 16th minute, this game was threatening to be another standard Digger romp to victory. Instead, their recent struggles in front of goal continued as they spurned numerous chances to extend their lead.

With Cebu coming into their stride in the second half, the Diggers’ poor finishing came back to bite them as Marius Koré rifled a gorgeous half volley late on to equalise for the Gentle Giants.

The result moves the Diggers 3 points clear of One Taguig having played 2 matches more, whilst for Cebu their chances at the title are now all but gone.

What a start to our Saturday games!

PFL Bible Team of the Week

🌟TEAM OF THE WEEK🌟

A stunning PFL matchweek ends with some standout performances, so let’s look at the PFL Bible Team of the Week!

In goal, it’s our Player of the Week - Aguilas UMak’s Enrico Mangaoang, who made some stunning stops including a phenomenal penalty save to hand Manila Digger their first loss of the season.

Unsurprisingly, the entire Aguilas back line gets into the team, after superb performances across the line from captain Richard Talaroc, Bryan Palpal-Latoc, Reynauld Villareal and Richard Tetteh.

The Brazilian pitbull Pedro de Paula is the other Aguilas star to feature, as he is in midfield alongside the goalscoring Julian Perilla of Mendiola. 4-goal scoring Yuta Yamaguchi fills in the CAM role, with teammate Jerome Abarca on the left and Stallion’s Juan Trujillo on the right.

Up top, Kaya’s Julian Myrbakk gets the nod after a superb finish against Stallion.

Manager of the Week unsurprisingly goes to coach Oliver Colina after a heroic win over Manila Digger.

PFL League Table and Weekend Results

🏆LEAGUE TABLE🏆

Four more matches over the weekend and they have had some big ramifications in the tables!

Starting with the Classification Group, Mendiola’s win over Army now guarantees that army will be finishing last place. Meanwhile, Garelli now move 5 points clear of Tuloy behind them.

In the Championship Group things have taken a big turn. Kaya’s draw with Stallion moves the reigning champions above Dynamic Herb Cebu on goal difference, whilst Stallion opened the door for Aguilas to leapfrog them following the latter’s heroic win over Manila Digger.

What a weekend of PFL action!

FT: Philippine Army 1-2 Valenzuela PB-Mendiola

⚽️FULL TIME⚽️

Valenzuela PB-Mendiola broke into double digits with their points as the defeated Philippine Army 2-1 in a tightly contested game.

After a cagey first half, Perilla’s rocket opened the scoring soon after the break. It didn’t last long though as Gumban smashed home to equalise just 10 minutes later.

Mendiola got their winner as the in-form Onyeka Obi reacted first to a loose ball to send the Mendiola fans home happy.

A tight match, and another excellent game in this hard fought Classification Group!

FT: Tuloy 2-4 Don Bosco Garelli United

⚽️FULL TIME⚽️

Don Bosco Garelli United all but cemented their place in 8th after a fine 4-2 win over Tuloy.

In an entertaining clash, both sides showed good attacking intent, but it was again the in-form Yuta Yamaguchi who made the difference, crashing home 4 goals in a blistering attacking display.

Tuloy showed some good touches but were left wanting, and will turn their attention to their final matches.
