First time with Brunswick Golden Smoked

Well, well, well. I have never had smoked herring or kippers before trying this tin. So, I’m massively inexperienced. But, I found these Brunswick Golden Smoked herring fillets to be very delicious. Kind of like a cross between the salt bomb of cured anchovies and the smokiness of smoked salmon??? Pretty fishy, very salty, but soo tasty. I also picked up the Polar Kippers to try another day.
I ate this tin with TJ’s Norwegian rye chips, which were almost too salty and airy to go but still good, cream cheese, extra sharp cheddar, hot Dijon mustard, some olives and celery and hummus to give my taste buds a break every now and then.
I love the smokey salty-ness, even if I know it cannot be good for me.
Can’t wait to try more kippered snacks!!

‘Dine break at work

Took a little second to eat some dines for a mini-dinner as a break from the screen at work.
Wild Planet EVOO, potato chips, mozzarella stick, and Valentina.
The Valentina hot sauce is SO GOOD with these chips and fishies

Porthos Teriyaki

Tried the first can from my recent World Market trip today.
Porthos Teriyaki!
They were good. Very meaty ‘dines, stained dark brown/black from the sauce. The sauce was not bad. Mild teriyaki for sure, pretty sweet, but not too sweet, and not too salty.
I tried them straight out the tin for flavor, and then ate them with some rice and Bachan’s teriyaki with chili onion crunch.
Delicious. The ‘dines were like a 7/10 for me. Not bad at all, but didn’t knock me out of my chair either.
Thanks for the recommendations everyone!

First World Market haul

Welp, just got back from my first world market trip. Thanks for all the recommendations, y’all!
Treated myself as a reward for finishing homework today.
Let me know your thoughts or favorite tins out of what I picked up! Some were inspired by recommendations, some just based on what I’ve seen on here that I wanted to try, and some that just looked fun or tasty.

Hitting World Market up today, and need recs please!

Title says it all but I’m hitting World Market for the first time ever today and looking for tinned fish. I enjoy both the Season skinless/boneless EVOO and the Wild Planet lightly smoked EVOO I picked up at Costco.
I need some recs for tins to try that are good value from World Market, please!
I enjoy boned and boneless, I don’t wanna deal with scales, and I’m down for pretty much any sauce except I’m trying to avoid sunflower/canola/veg oil tins.
I’m down for smoked, tomato, butter and herb, spiced, hot sauce, mustard, etc etc.

Hit me with your favorites!

Sardine Sando w accompaniments

Whipped up some Seasons in EVOO with a little olive oil mayo, Dijon mustard (used to much mustard this go around), green onions, celery, artichoke hearts, and a little chili garlic crunch.
On top of lightly buttered toasted sourdough, with olives, lemon garlic hummus and a little extra celery to go with. Not pictured is some crunchy potato chips I threw on the plate after.

New here! Quick Costco pick up today

I used to eat ‘dines as a kid and recently wanted to try them out again. After finding the health benefits and apparently thriving subculture of tinned fish, I stopped by Costco today to snag some ‘dines since I wanted to try Wild Planet.

They were giving out samples of Fishwife tuna with spicy oil made into tuna salad. And it was fine. Just like someone else had said on here. It’s fine. But for the price they’re asking??? I feel like they are gentrifying tinned fish.
