The second picture is taken from the East side of the path. The first has less trees and therefore more sun and the weed trees and weeds are out of control. Any suggestions for a chemical free way of controlling the weeds? I've tried dumping piles of leaves and old wood, but it just seems like it decomposes and turns into super fertilizer for the weeds.
Ants! Tried everything. They keep returning. (Ontario)
I have had an ongoing issue with ants living in the middle of my lawn. Have tried everything- Borax and sugar, diametrous, all kinds of anttraps, poisons and baits. Spreading coffee grounds. Finally this spring, I dug up the soil and reseeded. (Must have missed the Queen ) Was going great but in the last few weeks they've returned. They are killing my lawn at the root. The rest of the lawn is great but there is yellow patches in a straight line.
I'm close to sticking dynamite into the ground!
Any other ways?
Squirrels slowly ate a hole through my rodent proof. Lid. Would rather not throw out. Any quick tips to fill this hole in?
