Are there any other professions with the same level of competition to get paid less? (In house)

Title says it all. I find it wild that people go into this field, join biglaw, nearly kill themselves working and then fight tooth and nail to get a job in house that literally pays them less money. It seems like the most backwards thing and I’m starting to think we might all just be, collectively, insane people.

To be clear I’m not saying I don’t get why people want to be paid less, I completely get it and I’m one of those people. I would love to be in house but have had no such luck yet. I just find it mesmerizing how willing we all are to take pay cuts and I can’t think of any other field that operates that way.

Flamengo Intricate Ticket Scam?

We went to CRF and they are sold out of tickets for the game tomorrow. Someone working there said their friend has the tickets from their grandparents that they have had since the stadium was built so they have tickets to all games and shows, including the game tomorrow because they have a pass. They said we could meet them at the maracaña stadium (subway) at 6pm and they would scan my wife in, then I could pay them, and then they would scan me in.

Is this a scam? It seems too intricate to be a scam since the workers at CRF all seemed to know this guy and he apparently works there with them so it would be weird to think he would be a scammer. But I’m not sure how they could just scan us in. I don’t see anything online that says this is a commonly run scam.

Any help would be great.
