Experiences as an Asian in Harlem

I’m a young Asian woman and I might be living in the Hamilton heights area because I’ll be interning near by and was wondering about experiences from other Asians in the area? I know as an Asian I’m very visibly an outsider to the community. I’m worried about anti-Asian sentiment and harassment being a young woman as well.

I did research on the area and it seems relatively safe and looks like a nice area but I thought it was important to also ask about lived experiences.

EDIT: I’m realizing this title sounds clickbaity I apologize I wrote this late at night and was tired. I don’t want to seem like I have preconceived notions of the existing community members but am aware I may come across that way. I have asked the same question about predominantly white neighborhoods before when looking at different neighborhoods during college. For me, researching Asian experiences is just another step in my research I feel I have to do in any neighborhood (that I am visibly an outsider to) that I may move into.
