What happened to the Henry Hippo sweets (UK)
I've checked the website and been to a few Lidls but there's no more of these crack cocaine laced sweets. Where have they gone? Where can I get my fix?

I've got 9 years of experience (3 as a tester, 6 as a full-stack dev). I've been in a public sector role for around a year, and of course, the project is running behind and over budget. The higher-ups' answer is to chuck contractors at it.
My dev manager is categorically opposed to any AI use. He refuses to use it, does everything manually. The contractor who's come in as another lead is very into AI. He wants everything to be done by AI (user stories, tests, code, reviews). The wider original team (user designers, user support) all hate AI too.
I'm in the middle, I think AI can be very powerful and really improve productivity if used effectively (not slop code, making sure you understand it and reviewing everything). I used it in my previous job (mostly VS Code/GitHub Copilot), and it was so so helpful.
We have a meeting coming up with all the devs to discuss how we work moving forward. If I express that I want to use it, then I will be ostracised by the original team (who I'll work with after the contractors leave). I try to be as diplomatic as possible at the moment.
Has anyone any advice on how to navigate conflicting opinions and contractors coming in mid-project?
I know this has been asked over and over again but the few posts I've read through it hasn't been clear. I'm thinking of leaving the civil service; I'm just not enjoying the role. My partner thinks it's stupid because I'll be leaving the pension.
So before two years of service, does the transfer option include both your contributions AND the employer contributions?
Well, it was nice while it lasted, even if most people said it was too hot.
My current projection for the new pricing is from $10 to ~$30 a month, I pay for this myself not through work. Although this isn't as bad as others have posted here its still stings. I only use the free models for most things and use either Haiku or Sonnet for harder problems or well defined new features.
I just bought $20 of api tokens for Claude. I ran 3 fairly simple bug fix prompts into the integrated chat in VS code, and the total tokens in is 762,909 and out 4,705. Its an Angular project but I didn't think it was that big of a project. I guess this is because its sending the entire code base context.
What have others tried? Would the Claude pro subscription be better?
Edit: I need to be cautious about less privacy-focused subscriptions, as my manager is very anti-AI just to be on the safe side
