Rapid weight loss with gallstones?

I'm currently 3 days post gallbladder removal, however this is a concern that I've had before surgery.

Is it normal to drop a lot of weight on a gallbladder diet? I started eating a bit less fat after I had discovered that I had gallstones. I lost about 4-5kg within a month and it's starting to freak me out a bit. I don't think I was very strict with my diet, especially since I've never had any attacks, so preventing attacks wasn't really my concern and on many occasions I still indulged in higher fat foods. I think it's a possibility that I just ate less in general, as I'm really picky and sometimes I'd rather just not eat anything, than eat something I don't feel like eating, but I still think it's kind of freaky?? I'm a pretty sedentary person and I've been struggling with weight loss for a while, so seeing that I've somehow started losing weight came as somewhat of a shock. Just. Is this normal??

TLDR: Lost 4-5kg in a month, should I be concerned

one day post-op. my experience and a post-op question

Got my gallbladder removed yesterday. Kind of crazy how fast this went down, honestly! (I've found out that i had gallstones less than a month ago.) Turns out I had 4 pretty large stones in there and that my gallbladder was also full of thickened bile.

The pain is pretty mild but I can't tell if that's thanks to the painkillers I was prescribed, lol.

I've been eating very carefully, mostly fruit pouches and nilla wafers (I also had some mashed potatoes). I'm a little worried about trying more foods, especially due to what I have read on this subreddit. Is it possible to later on eat normally without having to take any enzymes or bile binders??

Diet changes with gallstones?

Hi! Recently (2 days ago) I found out I have gallstones. I've only found out by coincidence, as they were discovered via an abdominal ultrasound which I had for an unrelated issue.

They've never really given me any trouble outside of pretty weak pain in my upper right quadrant.

After this discovery I've been trying to eat less fat and sugar and generally just been following the recommendations I've found online. However, my question is, how strict do I have to be with these guidelines? While I don't want my situation to get worse, there are just some foods I'm really hesitant to cut out (coffee and milk for example). Is it really worth it being this restrictive if the gallstones don't cause me that much trouble?

I will probably be getting surgery (still not super sure as this is very recent and I haven't been to gastroenterology yet).
