Hi All!

I am trying to assist someone who is creating a presentation that includes the Autocad dwgs I've created for them. But when I saw the final presentation ( Google docs ) the dwg's resolution is very bad. Very fuzzy and overall looks like crap!

I plot the dwg ( D size sheet ) to pdf ( file size = 2MB ) , then save as png ( in Acrobat Pro ) and give this to them to insert in their Google doc presentation. I think this is where things go off, as my png is crystal clear. The Google doc slides are 11 x 17 size.

I've tried to fix this by inserting them myself ( as a test ) and I get the same results.

What can I do on my side to eliminate the image resolution becoming bad? Or is this an issue with how GD processes them? I'm at a loss and would really like the dwgs to read well.

I will be starting a new project that was created by an architect based in France. I am an interior designer and will be overlaying my scope of work onto the architect's metric CAD files.

I have my own stds for dims/text/mleaders that are annotative for imperial units, but haven't working in metric since transitioning to using annotative.

What would be the quickest way to create a metric annotative std if starting from my current imperial?

I'm a freelancer, and just this week I've had two new clients—one I'm currently working with and another that's a prospective contract—ask me to work directly from their shared drives (one uses Google Drive, the other Dropbox).

Is this becoming standard practice for AutoCAD projects?

I understand the benefits from a file-sharing and collaboration standpoint, especially with small teams of two or three people. But after many years of providing remote CAD services in the interior design industry, I've never been asked to work this way before. The fact that it happened twice in the same week has me wondering if this is a new trend or if I've just managed to avoid it until now.

Curious to hear how other freelancers and CAD professionals are handling this. Is working directly from a client's cloud drive now the norm?

Looking for clarification on why my multileader mtext box is giving me extremely long text box widths ( grips ). I have been adjusting my annotation / dimstyles, and think I've changed something but can't determine what it is.

As a quick solution, I've edited my current multileaders ( in dwg ) and have manually set their mtext width to zero ( need to do for each instance). This is what I would like for my default settings ( so I dont have to adjust going forward ).

I typically use a background mask for my mleaders, and this is causing overlap on other elements in my dwg.

What have I done to deserve this LOL! Thanks!
