Alright guys, advice needed on bite description
I just watched a pack of 5 dogs for 2 days. Two of the dogs got into it on day 1 (yesterday) and it seems like it was territorial in nature. Dog A and Dog B were in a huge scuffle, started by Dog A and likely due to Dog A wanting more personal space. Dog B was the victim and got a decent laceration under their eye. I was right there when it happened, as we were going out the back door, and I was able to pull Dog B away and shove them inside, while Dog A and the other dogs remained outside. Wound was cleaned, dogs were physically separated the rest of my stay via crates and room separation. I took Dog B to the vet this morning and they had to get the wound cleaned a bit more and some stitches. Throughout this whole process I was in clear and frequent communication with the client.
I have not seen this wording on Rover before in regards to bites/aggression.
Does anyone have insight on the outcome of making an honest statement here, whether that will have any effect on the clients (or myself?) Overall both Dog A and Dog B are very sweet, exhibit no aggression towards the other dogs in the pack, and I truly think Dog A is a more sensitive dog who has space issues and decided to take it to the extreme. I want to avoid any negative outcomes from Rover for the client or for myself as a sitter.
Any thoughts welcome! I have only dealt with one other aggressive situation for Rover clients but it was long ago and before this wording was an option on the site.
