Public officials should know better, even sa Facebook comments.
I hope our elected officials in Taguig are reminded that being a public servant doesn’t stop when they’re commenting on Facebook.
I came across this post regarding a reported shooting incident near Taguig Integrated School. According to the post, a student/child was allegedly caught in the incident and had to be brought to the hospital.
What caught my attention was a comment apparently made by Prudencio, a Kagawad of Barangay Pinagsama (Yes that's his facebook account kasi im living sa isang barangay near that barangay kaya familiar ako w/ their officials), joking/speculating:
“Kung hindi selosan ng bawal na droga or selosan ng bawal n pagiibigan ng mag-asawa hehe yan kaya, ping ping Konana patayyyyy 🤣🤣”
Hindi naman masama makipagbiruan online, pero sana marunong din tayong pumili ng tamang oras at lugar especially if you’re an elected official commenting on a serious incident.
Public servant ka pa rin kahit nasa comment section ka lang. We should expect better from our elected officials. Tagal na sa serbisyo tactless pa rin.
